The Socha Company was incorporated in the State Of New Mexico in 1954. The company started out as Barnhart Dwyer Engineering; then Barnhart Taylor Engineering; and finally The Socha Company, Inc. The company has always focused on relationships within the Engineering community as well as a strong Wholesale distribution focus. Many company’s find this historical perspective useful in doing business in New Mexico.


Gary L. Socha
President

Gary Socha is a native New Mexican born and raised in Albuquerque. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico in Mechanical Engineering in 1978. The first job out of school was with Phillips Petroleum in Borger Texas. In 1980 he went to work for an established Rep firm in Albuquerque that would become The Socha Company. Gary’s interest in heat transfer has focused the company on “heating related“ products and quality customer service. Gary has been happily married to Linda Socha since college and they have one daughter, Maria. Recently Gary completed a 3 year program at Arizona State University to receive the designation of Certified Professional Manufacture’s Representative (CPMR).

 
Chad Padilla
General Manager

Chad is an officer and stockholder of The Socha Company, Inc.  He has worked within the industry both as a contractor and as a wholesaler for the last twenty-five years. Chad has a wealth of experience and business expertise as well as considerable knowledge of the products we represent and is a great asset in the management of The Socha Company, Inc. Chad will be attending the Certified Professional Manufacturers classes at Arizona State University to supplement his business curriculum from the University of New Mexico.

 
Paula Piazzese
Office Manager

Paula, originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, received an Associates Degree in Legal Assistant from Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Michigan.  Her love of the high desert and the “Land of Enchantment” brought her and her family back to New Mexico in 1996 and she has been with The Socha Company since that time.

 
Michael Mauchline
Sales Training & Tech Support

Michael moved here from Phoenix, Arizona where he worked in commercial lending for a national financial institution. He moved to the New Mexico area 2 ½ years ago to pursue a career in the hydronic industry. At The Socha Company, Michael created The Socha Company Intranet to further improve everyone’s ability to serve our customers faster and accurately. Mike has had extensive Tekmar training and is a Certified Tekmar Instructor. Mike has attended Wirsbo’s Mini Camp; has received factory training certifications in the Lochinvar Advanced Water Heater School; Grundfos HVAC School; the Buderus Service School; Fulton Service School; and the Honeywell Basic Electricity Class.

 
Jacqueline Mora
Inside Sales

Jacqueline is a life long resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from high school in Mexico City where she was an exchange student for two years.  While living in Mexico Jacqueline became fluent in Spanish which has been a real asset to The Socha Company.  Jacqueline has been a part of The Socha Company family for 18 years and officially came to work for the company in 1999.  Jacqueline has attended Wirsbo’s Mini Camp; has received factory training certifications in the Lochinvar Advanced Water Heater School; Grundfos HVAC School; and the Honeywell Basic Electricity Class.  

 
Kristine Harriger
Office Assistant

Kristine’s experience includes many years as a legal assistant as well as various administrative and sales positions in the health, banking, and wireless communications industries.  She received her Bachelor’s degree from State University of New York. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Kristine has lived in several parts of the country. She and her husband, Jim, are very happy to have settled in the Land of Enchantment.
