The Socha Company was incorporated in the State Of New Mexico in 1954. The company started out as Barnhart Dwyer Engineering; then Barnhart Taylor Engineering; and finally The Socha Company, Inc. The company has always focused on relationships within the Engineering community as well as a strong Wholesale distribution focus. Many company’s find this historical perspective useful in doing business in New Mexico.

Gary L. Socha
Founder

Gary Socha is a native New Mexican born and raised in Albuquerque. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico in Mechanical Engineering in 1978. The first job out of school was with Phillips Petroleum in Borger Texas. In 1980 he went to work for an established Rep firm in Albuquerque that would become The Socha Company. Gary’s interest in heat transfer has focused the company on “heating related“ products .

The Socha Company is focused on superior customer service. We have a staff committed to getting it right.  Gary completed a three-year program at Arizona State University to receive the designation of Certified Professional Manufacture’s Representative (CPMR).

Joe Corbin
President

Joe Corbin joined The Socha Company in March of 2020.   He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina in 1993.  He has 25 years of experience on the wholesale side of the business working with groups in the plumbing, HVAC, hydronics and mechanical divisions.  He is an adamant supporter of the servant leadership model that puts customers first.  With our broad knowledge of our manufacturer’s products to a serving mindset, he aims to help our customers grow their business with the lines we represent.

David Mott
Inside Sales

David Mott was born and raised in Rio Rancho. I joined The Socha Company in 2023, coming from a decade long career in pharmacy as a technician. I spent years managing inventory and helping people as much as could be done as well as could be done. I now plan to learn all that I can about this industry.

Mayra Dominguez
Office Manager

SochaCompany_StaffImages_MayraMayra Dominguez was born and raised in Albuquerque. She received her associates degrees from CNM in Accounting and Business Administration. Mayra’s experience includes several years as a legal assistant, office manager, bookkeeper, and payroll clerk. She plans to finish her Bachelor’s degree at UNM-Anderson School of Business.

Gabriel Fernandez
Outside Sales


Gabe has been with The Socha Company since 2017. He has attended numerous trainings with our manufacturers and has developed a broad understanding of plumbing and hydronic design both through those trainings and through real world application. His background is in sales and customer service, and he completed the Certified Professional Sales Consultant certification in 2025. Currently Gabe is doing outside sales covering El Paso, TX up to Durango, CO.

Michael Mauchline
Sales Manager

Michael has been with The Socha Company, Inc. since 2003, and has trained extensively with the manufacturers we represent. He specializes in commercial sales, and works closely with consulting engineering firms and mechanical contractors to ensure that commercial projects are successful. In addition to commercial sales and support, Michael leads in hydronic design including radiant heating, snow melting, solar thermal and geothermal thermal systems. Promoted to Sales Manager 2019, Michael has become an invaluable asset to the team at The Socha Company, Inc., our manufacturers, and all of our customers.

Kadia Corbin
Inside Sales

Kadia Corbin joined the Socha Company in 2024. She received her Hospitality and Tourism degree in 2021, and her background includes positions in management, environmental tourism, and sales. New to the team, Kadia is focusing on learning the ins and outs of sales representation and broadening her education in the industry.
